We present results from over 3 years of operation of the RXTE All-Sky Monitor including discoveries of X-ray transients and results of searches for periodicities. Selected light curves illustrate the quality of the results obtained with the latest instrument calibrations and analysis software enhancements. Specific systematic problems will be discussed with the intent of providing guidance for the interpretation of the publically available data and of quantifying its limitations. Estimates of the sensitivity for detection of new sources and of the typical position accuracy will be given.
