The Package for INTeractive Analysis of Line Emission (PINTofALE) was initially designed for analyzing Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer spectroscopic data, as well as X-ray observations at low resolution obtained by the Advanced Satellite for Cosmology and Astrophysics (ASCA). It is, however, sufficiently general to be easily applied to any wavelength regime. It is based on a set of IDL tools that interact with an atomic database and with the observational data. The tools allow us to easily identify spectral lines, measure fluxes and carry out more detailed modelling. The package has recently been extended to handle the high resolution X-ray spectra to be obtained by the Chandra X-ray Observatory and by XMM. If sufficient community interest exists, we will prepare the package for public release.
