[72.03] Mapping the Local Bubble Region using EUV sources

Using Hipparcos distances we present maps of the galactic distribution of 430 sources detected by the NASA Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer satellite. We find that over 90 % of these sources are contained within the probable neutral shell boundary of the Hot Local Bubble cavity, as defined by interstellar NaI absorption measurements of stars within 250pc by Sfeir et al. (1999). In addition we compare the distance envelope of EUV sources with ROSAT all-sky maps of the distribution of soft X-ray emission.
