[10.04] All AAS Journals On-Line from Volume 1 to the Present

G. Eichhorn, M.J. Kurtz, A. Accomazzi, C.S. Grant, S.S. Murray (SAO)

The Astrophysics Data System (ADS) now provides on-line access to the full text of all the journals of the American Astronomical Society (AAS). We have scanned the Astronomical Journal, the Astrophysical Journal and the Astrophysical Journal Letters from volume 1 to the issue when the electronic version became available. These scans are available without cost as a service provided by NASA. For the issues that are on-line from the publisher of these journals, the University of Chicago Press, we maintain links to these articles in the ADS. This provides for the first time free on-line access to a complete set of journals from a learned society.

We also have scanned the AAS Photo Bulletin, an AAS journal that was published from 1969 to 1986. We would like to scan the Bulletin of the American Astronomical Society (BAAS). We need copies of the BAAS in order to do that. If you have spare copies of any of these issues, please let us know.

The on-line articles are search-able by author and title for all articles. For articles since 1975 we also have search-able abstracts. We are in the process of extending the search capability to abstracts and eventually to full text for all articles.
