[48.05] Resonant Orbits in Triaxial Galaxies with Central Black Holes

D. Merritt, M. Valluri (Rutgers)

Box orbits in triaxial galaxies with central black holes are generically resonant, or thin. Stable resonant orbits avoid the central black hole; orbits that are thick enough to approach the destabilizing center are typically stochastic. We present the properties of thin box orbits in a family of triaxial potentials with cusps and central black holes.
