We present the results of a detailed model atmospheres analysis of an isolated A-type supergiant in NGC 6822. The star has V~18, yet coaddition of three 1-hour exposures using Keck HIRES, was sufficient to gain S/N~60. NGC 6822 is a nearby dwarf irregular galaxy, with a metallicity similar to that of the SMC from nebular abundance studies. We present new elemental abundances, and in particular element ratios, e.g., [O/Fe], that can be used to study the star formation history and chemical evolution of this galaxy.
