W. F. Huebner, R. Link (SwRI)
A database for basic atomic and molecular data has been established on an SwRI web site. The first data in the database consists of photodissociation, photoionization, and photodissociative ionization cross sections with appropriate branching ratios. Solar activity can be input by the user to calculate solar photo rate coefficients (inverse lifetimes) and excess energies for a large array of atoms and molecules. The database is linked to a comprehensive collection of other, existing databases. The plan is to expand the database to include optical depth effects, electron and proton collision cross sections, solar line shapes, g-factors, etc., and to make the database interactive to include plotting, downloading of data, etc. The URL for the web site is: http://espsun.space.swri.edu/spacephysics/atomic/html/photoabs.htm
