[122.05] The International Small Telescope Cooperative

F. A. Ringwald (Florida Institute of Technology)

ISTeC, pronounced ``ice-tech,'' was formerly NASTeC, the North American Small Telescope Consortium. NASTeC was founded by Dr. Jason Cardelli. The purpose of ISTeC is to bring to the attention of the general astronomical community the distribution and availability of small-to-intermediate size (< 3m) research telescopes and associated equipment through a voluntary information listing. ISTeC is now taking part in a worldwide exchange of small telescope information and observations, and to foster global research collaboration, via the Internet. We provide a listing of small telescope observatories, instruments available, and contact points for the member institutions. This planet-wide organization is open to both professional and serious amateur astronomers.
