New images of the radio jet in Virgo~A at 6cm wavelength from the VSOP/HALCA Key Object Program are presented. The jet shows clear spatial oscillations over several tens of milliarcseconds, as well as compact features which possibly are shocks. From four epochs of observations between December, 1997, and late Spring, 1999, limits are set on the spatial and temporal evolution of the jet. The implications for jet collimation models are examined in the light of these observations.
