[86.03] An Integrated Near-Infrared Camera for NGST

J. A. Morse, J. Bally (CASA/University of Colorado)

We present a design for an 8192x8192 pixel format near-infrared camera operating from 0.6--5.3 microns. By employing movable mirrors to switch between modes, this focal plane array can be used for direct imaging, multi-object spectroscopy, and moderate to high dispersion slit or integral field spectroscopy. Multiple image scales enable diffraction limited performace over the entire prime NGST wavelength range. In its f/12 mode, the camera will deliver an 8' x 8' field of view. Tunable filters are used to provide narrow-band imaging at arbitrary wavelengths.
