HST Faint Object Spectrograph (FOS) spectra were obtained for the disk of \beta~Pictoris in July 1996. Spectra were obtained for both extensions of the disk at 1\farcs 3 (25~AU) from the star. Disk spectral reflectivity has been obtained by ratioing with an FOS spectrum of \alpha~Pic. IUE spectra of \beta~Pic and \alpha~Pic have been examined for comparison. Simple radiative transfer models incorporating possible dust components are used to identify spectral features. Differences between the spectra from the two extensions have been noted. Possible interpretations will be presented.
