We have undertaken a search for new, radio-loud gravitational lenses in the southern sky. Our main goal is to find lenses that will be useful for measuring time delays and therefore measuring cosmological parameters. Using new and archival VLA observations we have searched for characteristic lensing morphologies among 3500 flat-spectrum southern radio sources. Follow-up observations with MERLIN, the VLBA and optical imaging will be presented, along with the first confirmed lens resulting from the search.
