[25.02] Mid-Infrared Emitting Clumps in the Galactic Center Western Arc

N. Marinas, C. M. Telesco, R. Pina, R. S. Fisher (U. Florida), M. Wyatt (U. Edinburgh)

We present new high-resolution (~0.7") images at 10.8, 11.7, 18.2 microns of the Galactic Center Western Arc that clearly show clumpy structure in the dust distribution. These multi-wavelength images, which were made with OSCIR at the IRTF, span 29" x 29", and are centered at 20" W, 29" S of IRS1. We compute temperature and optical depth distributions from these images, and discuss their implications for a description of the radiative transfer in the Western Arc and the inner part of the Galactic Center circumnuclear ring.
