[2.07] Active Region Evolution of Several Regions Lasting More than One Solar Rotation

T-.S. Huang, B. M. Cudnik, S.H. Pojoga (Prairie View A&M University)

Solar Active Regions, or sunspot groups in white light, can last anywhere from several hours to several weeks or more. We select several of the recent long-lived active regions that we have observed and study their long term evolution. We investigate sunspot morphology type, dynamics, magnetic field pattern, flaring frequency, and other activity and compare the regions with one another.
