We present the results of visible (BVRI) photometry of the Centaur 1999UG5 and new insights on 1997CU26's (Chariklo) lightcurve from data obtained at the 1.52 meter telescope of the National Astronomical Observatory at Calar Alto, Spain, during our campain in February 2000.
For 1999UG5 colours were found to be very red, i.e, B-V=0.86 +/- 0.16, V-R=0.73 +/- 0.16 and V-I=1.41 +/- 0.20, and therefore place this object together with (5145) Pholus and (7066) Nessus, in the group of the reddest known bodies in the Solar System.
We analised the lightcurve for 1997CU26 (Chariklo), in R filter, with the Lomb Method and also with Phase Dispersion Minimization. Two strong peaks appear at 14.6 and 34.4 hours and a possible rotational period is discussed. Colours obtained for this object are similar to earlier published values.
