[42.17] The Coronae of Inactive Low-Mass Dwarfs

V.L. Kashyap (SAO), M. Giampapa (NOAO), J.J. Drake (SAO)

We analyze deep EUVE/SW data of two inactive low-mass dM stars GJ~205 and GJ~411. The spectra do not show any spectral lines that can be used for temperature or density diagnostics. We therefore model these spectra with different types of Differential Emission Measure (DEM) distributions and show that the peak temperature in the corona is akin to the Quiet Sun. We also derive constraints on the metallicity of the corona of GJ~205, and suggest that compared to its photosphere the corona appears to be metal deficient.
