Observations of accreting X-ray pulsars with the RXTE have previously revealed new cyclotron resonance scattering features (CRSFs) in Cen X-3, 4U 1626-67, and 4U 0115+63. In addition, the known CRSFs in Her X-1, Vela X-1, 4U 1538-52, GX 301-2, and 4U 1907+09 have been studied. We review these earlier results and update them with the newly discovered CRSF in 4U 0352+309 (X Per) and negative results from CRSF searches in a number of other accreting pulsars. We report observed line properties including energies, widths, depths, and behavior with pulse phase. With multiple objects observed in detail, some class generalizations (e.g. line width versus energy) are discussed. Finally, we compare the CRSF and non-CRSF sources in an attempt to determine what properties may lead to the presence or absence of CRSFs.
