The contribution to the cosmic diffuse gamma-ray background (CGB) from Gamma Ray Bursts (GRBs) has been studied in the 40 keV - 2 MeV regime. We utilized High Energy Resolution (HER) data obtained with the Burst And Transient Source Experiment (BATSE) abord the Compton Gamma-ray Observatory (CGRO). Data from the 4th BATSE catalog were used to generate an average GRB spectrum. Although the GRB contribution to the CGB is in general small, in comparison to the dominant flux from SNIa, the estimated GRB contribution is in fact comparable to that from SNIa in the range 10-30 keV. The contribution from GRBs is roughly at the same level as the contribution from TypeII supernovae. Although BATSE data are not available below ~40 keV, a straightforward extrapolation of the average spectrum suggest that GRBs can in fact fill part of the existing gap between Seyferts (dominating below ~ 100 keV) and SNIa (dominating near 1 MeV).
