The Chandra X-ray Observatory observed the nearby face-on spiral M33 in July-August 2000. We present spatial/spectral cuts of the combined Chandra ACIS-I and ACIS-S data and give a preliminary estimate of the luminosity function of the point source components and a provisional list of identifications for the bright sources, together with example X-ray source spectra.
