We present results from a multiwavelength study of the composite starburst/AGN in NGC 1808. Using {\em Chandra} HRC and ROSAT PSPC/HRI data as well as multiband optical HST WFPC2 observations we study the nature of the star-forming regions and the active nucleus. We find that the X-ray emission is closely associated with the optical H\alpha emission.
There are three main distinct X-ray sources embedded in the diffuse emission. Together these individual sources produce about 20% of the total X-ray emission. One of them is associated with the optical nucleus and the other two (which have luminosities of ~039\rm{erg/s}, i.e., similar to that of the nucleus) are spatially coincident with two hotspots seen in the H\alpha images. These two regions lie on the circumnuclear star-forming ring. Using the multiwavelength data, we study the properties of these star-forming regions and compare the results with those for other star-forming galaxies, e.g., M82 and the Antennae system.
