[43.03] The Distribution of Physical Properties in the Massive Star Formation Region W75N

C. Watson, E. Churchwell (U.Wisconsin,Madison), J. Bieging (U.Arizona), V. Pankonin (N.S.F.)

CH3CN is a high density probe which seems to be confined to the central regions of hot molecular cores where massive star formation seems to be occurring. W75N has been observed in the CH3CN (J=6-5; K=0-3) transitions using the BIMA interferometer. From the observed line intensities, we have derived the distributions of CH3CN rotation temperature, column density, and line optical depths on size scales of ~2". These data will be used in combination with other measurements of the associated outflow to model physical parameters of the region.
