[46.12] Fourier inter- and intrarelations for Cepheid light curves using OGLE and Galactic data

N. F. Bouche, S. Nikolaev, S. M. Kanbur (Department of Astronomy, University of Massachusetts, Amherst MA 01003)

We use Fourier decomposition of V- and I-band light curves of OGLE Cepheids in the Magellanic Clouds to obtain relations linking the structure of Cepheid light curves at different wavelengths. Such relations are useful to test models and to reconstruct sparsely sampled light curves. Based on the OGLE sample of 1284 LMC Cepheids and 2147 SMC Cepheids we derive linear relations between corresponding Fourier amplitudes and phases in the two bands (`interrelations'), and relations among different-order coefficients within the same band ('intrarelations'). The results are compared to similar relations from a set of Galactic Cepheids.
