[141.02] Chandra Snapshot Observations of LINERs with a Compact Radio Core

Y. Terashima (U of MD, ISAS), A.S. Wilson (U of MD)

We present results of Chandra snapshot observations of LINERs with a compact radio core. The galaxies in our sample were selected from a VLA survey of LINERs (Nagar et al. 2000). Most objects in our sample have a compact hard X-ray source coincident with the radio core. The spectra of most objects are well described by a simple power law model, which is typically observed from low-luminosity AGNs, and a few indicate heavy absorption. We will summarize the X-ray spectral results and examine the radio loudness of these objects, comparing their radio and X-ray luminosities.
