[6.18] The Photometric Analysis of Two New Eclipsing Binary Stars

M. La Vigne (WMC), J. S. Shaw (UGA)

We present preliminary solutions for BVRI light curves of the eclipsing binary stars Aur0 4982 and a newly discovered variable. Aur0 4982 is a detached system with a spot on its cooler, less massive star. The new variable system is semi-detached with the cooler, less massive star filling its Roche lobe. We have determined a new period for both Aur0 4982 and the new variable. The National Science Foundation supported this work through their Research Experience for Undergraduates grant AST-0097616.
