[10.02] Physical Review Journals in ADS

V. Rey Bakaikoa, C.S. Grant, A. Accomazzi, G. Eichhorn, M.J. Kurtz, S.S. Murray (Harvard-Smithsonian CfA)

The NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) and the American Physical Society (APS) have started a wide-ranging collaboration involving exchange of bibliographic data. ADS has recently incorporated in its physics database all abstracts of articles appearing in the Physical Review series, accounting for more than 300,000 papers published from 1893 to date. Additionally, APS has made available to the ADS project the list of references published in these articles. As a result, ADS has so far been able to identify and add over 3 million citations to our databases. APS is in the process of creating links to ADS records for all the references that have been identified in ADS. We hope that the this collaboration will improve the services offered by both projects to the physics and astronomy community.

The ADS is funded by NASA Grant NCC5-189.
