[84.08] SUSPECT - The Online Supernova Spectrum Database

D. Richardson, R. C. Thomas, D. Casebeer, Z. Blankenship, S. Ratowt, E. Baron, D. Branch (U of Oklahoma)

We unveil SUSPECT, an online database for the uniform collection, storage and dissemination of supernova spectra. Observers may submit FITS format spectra by ftp or email. The spectra are stored and catalogued with a uniform header. An ADS-style web search interface makes supernova spectra available to anyone in a variety of formats, such as FITS, ASCII or GIF images. Visitors to the web site can search for spectra by date range, wavelength range or supernova type. Some searches combining several criteria are also possible. Original FITS headers are stored to maintain a complete history of each FITS spectrum, also available to visitors. Future enhancements to the database include web based spectrum submission, storage of noise spectra and photometry, and new ways of searching for spectra. The website of the SUSPECT database is http://www.nhn.ou.edu/\~{}suspect.
