[134.04] 3mm Molecular Line Observations of W51

P. K. Sollins, Q. Zhang, P. T. P. Ho (Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics)

We present 3mm observations of the high-mass-star forming region W51 from the BIMA array in B and C configurations. We observed in the 13CO(J=1-0), C18O(J=1-0), H13CO+ (J=1-0), SiO (J=2-1, v=0), SO2(81,7-80,8) and SO2(83,5-92,8) lines. We use these to calculate physical properties of the gas. All but the SO2 lines show fairly extended emission. The H13CO+ (1-0) reveals the presence of a quiescent clump of gas near the central large HII region. The continuum at 3mm is sigificantly different than in centimeter wavelength maps.
