[138.13] Active Galactic Nuclei in Sloan Digital Sky Survey

L Hao, M Strauss (Princeton University), Sloan Digital Sky Survey Team

We present a determination of the optical luminosity function for AGNs selected from Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). Tha large number and high S/N galaxy spectra observed by SDSS allows us to form a large uniform AGN sample. AGNs are selected either via their emission line strength ratios or broad permitted line widths. The stellar light is subtracted rom the original spectra before calculating the emission line strength to avoid contamination of the starlight. The completeness of the sample is discussed.
