[19.04] Chandra Studies of Spiral Galaxies: Four Observations of NGC 1637

E. M. Schlegel (Harvard-Smithsonian CfA)

I discuss four epochs of ACIS observations of the nearby (7 Mpc) barred spiral NGC 1637. Approximately nine sources are detected in the combined data, but few of the sources are present in all epochs. I construct luminosity distributions for each epoch as well as for the combined data. Diffuse emission exists near the nucleus. The ``nuclear'' source lies within a few arc seconds of the dynamical center.

This research was supported by NASA grant NAS 8-39073 to the Chandra X-ray Center and SAO.
