[91.09] Abundances in Very Metal-Poor Stars

J. A. Johnson, A. McWilliam (OCIW), M. Bolte (UCO/Lick)

We present high-resolution echelle data for a sample of very metal-poor stars selected from the HK surveys of Beers and collaborators. The data were obtained with the 2.5-meter telescope at Las Campanas and with the 10-m Keck telescope. These stars represent a wide range of properties that have been discovered in surveys for metal-poor stars. Our sample includes a CH-star, r-process-rich and r-process-poor stars, and stars with [Fe/H] < -3.5. We show abundances for a number of abundances, from C to Pb, and discuss the implications for nucleosynthesis in the early Galaxy.
