[51.15] Gravitational Lenses

C.S. Kochanek (Center for Astrophysics)

Gravitational lenses are enormously versitile astrophysical tools, providing information on dark matter, cosmology, galaxy evolution and the interstellar medium. Radio selected surveys for lenses have been among the most productive, and avoid many of the biases of optically selected samples. After briefly reviewing past surveys and their uses, we will focus on the next generation of radio lens surveys.
