[76.09] Correlated Study of Decimetric Solar Radio Bursts and Solar X-Ray Bursts Observed by RHESSI

F. C. R. Fernandes, J. R. Cecatto, R. R. Reinaldo, V. Krishan, H. S. Sawant (Astrophys. Div., INPE, São José dos Campos, Brazil), M. Karlicky, K. Liricka (Astronom. Inst. of Acad. of Sc., Ondrejov, Czech Republic), S. R. Kane (Space Sc. Lab., Univ. of California, Berkeley)

High resolution sprectra and images of solar hard X-ray bursts in 3 keV – 15 MeV range obtained by the recently launched RHESSI spacecraft are compared with decimetric solar radio bursts observed simultaneously with high time and frequency resolution with the Brazilian Solar Decimetric Telescope (1000 – 2000 MHz) and Ondrejov Radio Telescope (800 – 4500 MHz). Preliminary results from a correlated study of the type III bursts and other fine structures observed with the ground-based radio instruments and the impulsive hard X-ray bursts observed by RHESSI will be reported. These results are expected to lead to a better understanding of the acceleration and propagation of energetic electrons in the solar atmosphere.
