[9.01] WIYN Open Cluster Study : UBVRI CCD Photometry of NGC 2420

E. Freeland, C. P. Deliyannis, A. Steinhauer (Indiana University), A. Sarajedini (University of Florida)

We present precision photometry of the metal-poor open cluster NGC 2420. Observations were made in the U, B, V, R, and I filters with the WIYN 0.9m on Kitt Peak. PSF photometry was performed using DAOPHOT, and the data were calibrated using two independent photometric nights. We present revised values for the distance, age, and reddening of the cluster. This project falls under the auspices of the WIYN Open Cluster Study (WOCS), a collaboration between Indiana University, Yale University, the University of Wisconsin, and the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO).
