We present the results of a 30 GHz interferometric Sunyaev-Zel'dovich Effect (SZE) imaging survey of eight of the ten galaxy clusters detected in X-rays by the MAssive Cluster Survey (MACS) at redshift 0.5 < z < 0.7 and declination > -15 degrees. SZE observations of one cluster in the sample were not pursued due to a strong (150 mJy) radio point source in the field and observations of the last one are scheduled for July 2002. Only two of the clusters, Cl0016+1609 and MS0451.6-0305, were detected in X-ray surveys predating MACS. Using only our SZE data, we find electron temperatures in the range 5.5--18.5 keV and total masses between 1.5 and 2.6 \times 1014 h100-1Msun within a 65 arcsecond radius (0.28h100-1 Mpc at z=0.5) for the eight clusters. Our analysis of Chandra X-ray data for Cl0016 and previous analysis of Chandra data for MS0451 show the X-ray and SZE-derived temperatures and masses to be in excellent agreement, indicating that our SZE mass and temperature estimates for the other clusters should be trustworthy. The strong SZE detections of these eight objects confirm that they are indeed massive clusters.
