On October 10--12, 2000, we observed Jupiter's auroral regions with the Fourier Transform Spectrometer of the CFH telescope in its spectro-imaging mode (BEAR). The data consist of 14 data cubes covering the northern and southern auroral zones with a seeing-limited resolution of 0.4-0.6''. The spectral range is defined by the use of two narrow filters; one of them is centered at 2.09 \mum and covers the strong H3+ 4777 cm-1 line and four other, weaker, H3+ lines ; the other includes the H2 1-0 S(1) line at 4712 cm-1 and the H3+ 4732~cm-1 line. The spectral resolution is about 25000 (0.2 cm-1). These observations, which clearly show the different morphology of the H3+ and H2 auroral infrared emissions, contain potential information on the 2-D distribution of (i) the H3+ rotational temperature and column density (ii) the kinetic temperature at the levels sounded in H3+ and H2 and (iii) wind velocities at these levels. Preliminary results will be presented at the meeting.
