We present findings which set a limit upon the redshifted oxygen emission from the intergalactic medium (IGM). Utilizing data from high spectral resolution observations of the low energy (60 - 1000 eV) diffuse x-ray background, we examine the regions below the local OVIII (654 eV) and OVII (574 eV) lines. After correcting for the known AGN emission in these regions we obtain an upper limit for redshifted intergalactic oxygen emission.
