[93.21U] Survey of 15 Protostellar Molecular Outflow Sources

R. N. Durham (Hampshire College)

Observations of the 12CO J= 1-0 line emission were used to derive the masses and extents of 13 known, and 2 candidate, molecular outflow sources. The masses of the red and blue shifted outflow lobes, the 12CO and 13CO column densities used to derive them, and the physical extent of the lobes, are listed for all 15 sources. The class 0 candidate sources, Mono B12 and Mono B27n, were confirmed to be outflow sources and warrant further study. The sources CRL2591 and CepE exhibit potential episodic outflow behavior in their spectra and are excellent candidates for the study of this phenomenon. Results were derived assuming an optically thin 12CO column density for the outflow lobes for 7 of the sources. Results for the remaining 8 sources were derived using a calculated 12CO column density by including 13CO J= 1-0 emission observations.
