[106.01] Employment: Alternative Careers for Astronomers

A.E. Schweitzer (Chair, AAS Employment Committee)

Curious about what other job opportunities exist out there, beyond the traditional academic career path? Find out at a panel discussion with astronomers who have worked in a variety of arenas (such as the aerospace industry, science writing, medicine and computer science). Each panelist will have time to offer their perspectives and advice on various career paths, and then we'll take questions from the audience. Sponsored by the AAS Employment Committee.
