[51.04] Combining Constraints on the Cosmic Star Formation History

M. R. Blanton (Center for Cosmology and Particle Physics, New York University)

Modern observations, combined with stellar evolution models, yield multiple constraints on the cosmic star formation history. We combine the constraints provided by low-redshift galaxy surveys, the extragalactic background light, and observations of galaxies at high redshift to estimate this history. We evaluate what aspects of the star-formation history are well-determined.
