[117.07] Period Changes and a Secondary Pulsation in DY Pegasus

M. Ivanushkina, M.D. Joner (BYU)

We present an analysis of unreported times of maximum light for the dwarf Cepheid (High Amplitude Delta Scuti Star) variable star DY Pegasus. We find evidence for sudden period breaks from the archival observations and the new data. Due to the greater accuracy of the CCD observations employing differential ensemble photometry, we have been successful in the detection of a low-amplitude secondary pulsation in hte light curve of DY Peg. We present a discussion of this secondary frequency.
