New results on the distribution of central black-hole masses of distant, luminous quasars will be presented. Recent work (Vestergaard 2002, ApJ, 571, 733) presents a scaling relationship, calibrated to reverberation mapping masses of nearby quasars and AGNs, allowing the black-hole masses of more distant quasars to be estimated to within a factor of about 3. Black-hole masses for several quasar samples will be presented and implications for the growth and evolution of the black-hole will briefly be discussed.
