[128.05] The Local HI Universe

R.L. Webster, M. Zwaan, M.J. Meyer (University of Melbourne), HIPASS Team

A multibeam receiver has been constructed for the Parkes Radio telescope, enabling complete mapping of the southern sky at 21cm. Semi-automated methods have been used to construct a complete catalogue of ~4500 sources, which map the local universe in neutral hydrogen. We will present the results of the full catalogue, including movies depicting the local structure, and also the highlights of the scientific programs which have been completed with the new catalogue. Copies of the full catalogue will be available on CD.
