[10.04] Results of a Joint Fit of Chandra X-Ray, Radio, and CANGAROO Gamma-Ray Spectral Data for SN 1006

G.E. Allen, J.C. Houck (MIT Center for Space Research), S.J. Sturner (USRA/NASA GSFC)

We present Chandra X-ray data for the eastern rim of SN 1006. These data, and a compilation of radio data, were fit with a synchrotron emission model. The CANGAROO gamma-ray data were fit with a model of inverse Compton scattering of cosmic microwave background radiation. The joint fit to all three data sets is used to determine a self-consistent set of parameters (and 90% confidence intervals) describing the shape of the electron spectrum and the strength of the magnetic field. The results are used to estimate the total energy in the non-thermal electrons.
