[6.04] X-ray Threads and Diffuse Emission in the Central 300 pc of the Galaxy

C. C. Lang (University of Iowa), Q. D. Wang (University of Massachusetts), F. J. Lu (Chinese Academy of Sciences)

We present X-ray spectral and spatial analysis of several filamentary and diffuse features that were first identified in the Chandra Galactic Center Survey. This 300-ks survey covers the central 300 pc of the Galaxy in the energy range of 2-10 keV. These features include the X-ray threads G0.13-0.11, G359.89-0.08, G359.54+0.18, and the diffuse 6.4 keV emission in and around the Arches stellar cluster. These X-ray sources all have radio counterparts and we will present multi-wavelength analysis and discussion of the physical nature of these unique Galactic center objects.
