[44.05] Implications of the HETE-2--Localized GRBs 020124, 021112, 021211, and 030115 for the Nature of ``Optically Dark" GRBs

GRBs020124, 021112, 021211, and 030115 were quite faint at 18 hours after the burst. They would most likely have been classified as ``optically dark" GRBs were it not for the rapid HETE-2 localizations of these bursts, which allowed early optical follow-up observations that identified the optical and/or near IR afterglows of them. We discuss the implications of the HETE-2 observations of these bursts and the optical/near IR observations of their afterglows for the nature of ``optically dark" GRBs.
