[49.01] NASA's Directions in Optical/UV Astronomy

A brief overview will be given of the role of Optical/UV Astronomy in addressing the compelling scientific questions in the new Office of Space Science Strategic Plan, and the roadmaps of the Structure and Evolution of the Universe, and the Astronomical Search for Origins and other Solar Systems science themes. Current and planned missions will be discussed. The long term vision for Optical/UV Astronomy will be outlined.
