[56.01] Polarization anisotropies in the CMB and their implication for cosmology

M Zaldarriaga (Harvard University)

I will discuss the physical mechanisms that generate Polarization in the Cosmic Microwave Background and the current observational status. I will explain what we expect to learn from future measurements of the polarization such as details about how the universe reionized and what was the energy scale of inflation.
