[4.06] HST Wide Field and Planetary Camera II Status Update

I. Heyer, G. Brammer, A. M. Koekemoer, V. Kozhurina-Platais, J. Rhoads, B. Whitmore (STScI)

We review the status of the Wide Field and Planetary Camera II (WFPC2) onboard the Hubble Space Telescope, as well as recent enhancements to calibration and user support. We present the latest photometric monitoring results, as well as the calibration plan for Cycle 12 which includes the WFPC2 close-out calibration plans. The final results of the examination of the accuracy of WFPC2 photometric zeropoints is discussed, as well a re-examination of the WFPC2 color transformations. We are examining potential stellar photometric effects caused by the intrapixel centering of the PSF, using aperture photometry and a range of aperture sizes. The next major update of the Instrument Handbook is planned for this fall. These and other topics will be discussed.
