The Alcock-Paczynski test on the Ly\alpha forest of close QSO pairs provides an elegant and potentially very precise measurement of \OmegaLambda\ independent of standard rulers, SN Ia, and the CMB. With the advent of large quasar surveys, 6-10 meter class telescopes for moderate resolution absorption line spectroscopy, and large scale hydrodynamical cosmological simulations for calibration, this experiment is now possible. We present here our first observations of 25 QSO pairs near z=2.5 from our observing campaign at the MMT and Magellan 6.5 meter telescopes.
