[55.05] New and Revised Magnitudes for Stars Within Four Arcminutes of Selected Active Galaxies

S.E. Eyermann (University of Missouri, Rolla), K.S. Rumstay, R.H. Boone (Valdosta State University), S.R. Cortes (Clemson University)

Since 1995 the SARA 0.9 m telescope on Kitt Peak has been used for the long term monitoring of twelve active galaxies using differential photometry. Unfortunately, not all of these AGN fields have comparison stars with published magnitudes. We present V magnitudes and B-V, V-R, and R-I color indices for stars lying within 4' of the active galaxies NGC 5548, NGC 4151, Mrk 509, Mrk 817, and Akn 564. We also present a revised two-year light curve for Akn 564. This work was supported in part by the NSF REU Program through grant AST-0097616.
